How It Happened
- After Lynchburg claimed a 2-0 edge to start the game, the Seahawks responded with four in a row, including the McKay hat trick, to go up 4-2 with 11:09 remaining in the second quarter.
- The Hornets unleashed five straight to head into halftime with a 7-4 advantage as Riley Hastings scored twice in the run.
- Nine goals were tallied in the third frame with the hosts edging SMCM, 5-4, in the scoring. Lynchburg went into the final quarter with a 12-8 margin.
- A 3-1 run to begin the fourth pulled St. Mary's College within 13-11 with 9:23 to go in the game. Liam Holman scored twice, including his second with 1:37 left in the game, to double up the Hornets' lead.
- The Seahawks won the ensuing face-off and fired off three shots but were unable to capitalize with one being blocked, another going wide, and Eric Allen saving the last one to preserve the Lynchburg win.

- In goal, sophomore goalie Ty Spencer (Hanover, Md./Indian Creek) registered career-bests of 13 saves and six ground balls.
- Junior defenseman Mike Williams (Odenton, Md./Arundel) picked up a career-high two caused turnovers to lead the defensive effort.
Lynchburg Game Notes
- Three Hornets each finished with three goals while Holman ended the game with six points on three goals and three assists. Allen ended the game with nine stops and three ground balls.
