GENERAL INFORMATION
The St. Mary's College of Maryland Sports Medicine staff consists of three athletic trainers, all of which are certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association – Board of Certification (NATA-BOC). The sports medicine staff supports all 23 of St. Mary's College's varsity level sports, providing services to every Seahawk student-athlete.

The sports teams that are covered are baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, field hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's rowing, coed and women's sailing, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's indoor track & field, men's and women's outdoor track & field, and volleyball.

The St. Mary's College Sports Medicine staff strives to provide the best possible medical care and preventative health care services to our student-athletes and to provide a quick and safe return to athletic activity following injury. The sports medicine office is equipped with a wide variety of therapeutic exercise equipment.



TEAM PHYSICIANS
St. Mary's College of Maryland Athletics utilizes Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics: Southern Maryland Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Center for both orthopaedics and physical therapy. This partnership helps create a dynamic sports medicine team which includes athletic trainers, orthopaedic surgeons, and physical therapists to provide well-rounded medical services for holistic evaluation, treatment and healing for athletic injuries. Referrals are available through SMCM Sports Medicine for expeditious service to a multitude of specialty doctors in orthopaedics.
