St. Mary's City, Md. - The St. Mary's College
of Maryland women's basketball team gave the 12th-ranked Spartans

St. Mary's (7-14, 5-8 CAC) came out reenergized in the second
half, using a 17-6 run in a 7:37 span to knock down its 15-point
deficit to just four (51-47). However, the Seahawks were
unable to get any closer as Sparkman sparked a 9-2
run which kept York ahead in double figures for the remainder of
the game.
Perez and Ward combined for 23
of the team's 44 rebounds as York tallied a marginal 44-38
advantage on the boards.
