Virginia Beach, Va. – Sophomore Kyle Feeley (Baltimore, Md./Mount Saint Joseph) and first-year Guy Guzzone, Jr. (Columbia, Md./Hammond) each picked up two wins in leading the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's tennis team to a 6-3 victory over Virginia Wesleyan College Sunday afternoon.

Guzzone teamed up with fellow classmate John Feighner (Laurel, Md./Atholton) for an 8-6 victory at No. 2 doubles followed by Guzzone's 6-3, 6-1 triumph at No. 5 singles.

Feeley and partner, first-year Devin Turk (Phoenix, Md./Hereford), nabbed an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles before Feeley posted a 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 win at No. 3 singles.

The Seahawks (2-0) led 2-1 after doubles action before Virginia Wesleyan responded with a straight win at No. 4 singles to even up the match.  St. Mary's answered right back with victories at No. 2, No. 5, and No. 1 flights to put the match out of reach.

St. Mary's returns to action next Saturday, September 25 with a make-up match at Catholic University at 1:00 pm.  The original match was rained out on September 12.
