LATHAM, N.Y. – Jacob Nelson (Olney, Md./Sherwood) was named the United East Conference Player of the Week for men's tennis as announced by the league office Tuesday morning (Sept. 15). This is Nelson's third career conference player of the week award.
Nelson went 1-1 at the Washington College Invite Sept. 11-12, dropping a 1-6, 6-3, 3-10 decision to Washington College's
Aidan Thomas-Cogar in Round 1 before rebounding with a 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 victory over Albright College's
Enrico Pucci.
The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's tennis team will return to action Saturday, Sept. 19, when St. Mary's College travels to Washington, D.C., to take on The Catholic University of America (1-0) at 11 am in a non-conference match.
