Wesley cut the deficit in half in the first six-and-a-half minutes of the second half as first-year guard Kiara Johnson (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) pulled her team within 50-40 at 13:25. The Wolverines could not get any closer as St. Mary's kept up the offensive and defensive pressure.
