Senior captains Shelby Newman (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) and Tori Poffenberger (Sharpsburg, Md./Boonsboro) each added three goals and an assist while junior attacker Meg Gesner (Severna Park, Md./Severn School) chipped in a goal and two helpers.

Sophomore defender Alexis Galloway (Upper Marlboro, Md./Bishop McNamara) and first-year midfielder Brianna Bacon (Woodbridge, Va./Gar-Field) stopped the bleeding with back-to-back goals to cut their deficit to 5-2 at 17:10.
Cannon notched her first two of the day in a minute for a five-goal lead at 15:25 before the Seahawks closed out the first half on a 6-3 run to carry a 13-5 advantage into halftime. Cannon scored twice in the run, including the last one of the half with six seconds on the clock.
Wesley (2-8, 0-4 CAC) was led in its fourth consecutive conference loss by first-year attackers Fallon Fore (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) and Bailey Olds (Easton, Md./Easton) with two goals apiece while first-year midfielder Foley Wassmuth (Baltimore, Md./Institute of Notre Dame) dished out two assists.

Control of the draws went to St. Mary's by a 16-10 margin thanks to Cannon and sophomore midfielder Kerri Kline's (Hagerstown, Md./Saint James) strong play in the midfield. The duo combined for seven draw controls.
In goal, senior captain Kayla Dunn (Rockville, Md./Good Counsel) made 12 saves as Dunn turned away eight of Wesley's 10 free position shots. The Wolverines finished the game 0-for-10 in free position shots. Sophomore Savannah Clough (Dundalk, Md./Patapsco) had 17 stops in Wesley's sixth loss in a row.
The Seahawks return to action on Thursday, April 7 when St. Mary's takes on No. 18 University of Mary Washington in a conference matchup at 4:00 p.m. in Seahawk Stadium.
