Westminster, Md. – Juniors Caitlin Katchmar (Phoenix, Md./Hereford) and Ali Collie (Glen Arm, Md./Dulaney) combined for eight goals and 11 points in propelling the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's lacrosse team to a 19-11 win Saturday afternoon over McDaniel College in their first road game of the season.

How It Happened

• After a highly-contested first half which saw St. Mary's hold on for an 8-6 halftime advantage, the Seahawks unleashed for 11 second-half goals to drown any McDaniel hopes of remaining undefeated. Katchmar, Collie, and senior attacker Lacey Brown (Monkton, Md./Hereford) each scored twice a 7-1 run over a 12-minute span to give the visitors a seven-goal cushion at 12:20.
• The Seahawks scored a season-best nine free-position goals in 13 attempts.

Inside the Box Score

• Katchmar shared game honors with career-bests of four goals, two assists, and six points as she scored a career-high three free-position goals while adding two draw controls. This is Katchmar's third career hat trick and second straight.
• Collie notched a season-best five points and career-high four goals on a career-best two free-position goals, marking her second career hat trick. She also added a career-high four draw controls.
• Brown added five points on three goals, including a career-high two free-position goals, and career-best two assists and chipped in career-highs of three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
• Sophomore midfielder Kate Bartholomew (Galena, Md./Kent County) grabbed a season-best four draw controls while junior Emma Brown (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) made seven saves, caused a career-high three turnovers, and picked up a season-best three ground balls.
• Emily Brownawell also tallied six points on four goals and two assists to lead McDaniel while Lindsey Farrell won eight draw controls and contributed three goals. In goal, Elizabeth Collyer turned away five shots.
