Baltimore, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's tennis team (2-2) visited Goucher College on Saturday to face the No. 12 Fighting Owls of Harford Community College (3-3) as well as the host Goucher Gophers (10-2).

How It Happened
Doubles:
- Senior captain James Loftis (Annapolis, Md./Saint Andrews (Del.)) and sophomore Ron Stith (Cheltenham, Md./Lackey) played the tightest doubles match for the Seahawks, dropping a hard-fought 8-5 decision in the third flight.
Singles:
- Stith picked up St. Mary's lone point as he won his No. 3 singles match against the Owls' Treston Diaz in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.

How It Happened
Doubles:
- Loftis and Stith took home the lone point for the Seahawks as they defeated Goucher's Britt Shortle and Elliot Diehl, 8-7 (10-5).
Other notes:
- St. Mary's is headed south to Hilton Head Island, S.C. for its Spring Break trip (Mar. 11-16), taking on Marietta College, Greenville University, and Millikin University at PTR Spring TennisFest.
