HARRISBURG, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's tennis team (4-10, 2-3 CAC) continued conference play on Saturday (Apr. 6) afternoon as they traveled to Penn State Harrisburg. The Seahawks defeated the Lions 6-3.
St. Mary's – 6, Penn State Harrisburg – 3
Doubles –
- Jon Gorel and Jack Brandenburg defeated Penn State Harrisburg's top pairing in Sachin Venkatesh and Isaac George with a convincing score of 8-2.
- Ron Stith and Sam Sheats also had a big win in their 8-2 defeat of Jun Kwon and Austin Stehman in the number two spot for doubles.
Singles –
- Gorel won his singles matchup against Venkatesh by a score of 6-2, 6-0.
- Stith would continue the winning by topping Kwon in the number two spot 6-2, 6-4.
- Sheats and Brandenburg would also win their singles matches in straight sets to help the Seahawks to a team win.
