Box Score Hilton Head Island, SC-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's tennis team came out on top against Oswego State this afternoon (Mar. 15) as they resumed the PTR Spring Tennis Fest. The Seahawks improved to 6-1 on the year, earning a 8-1 victory.Â

Stephen Alam and Kier Nacua competed in the No.1 against the Lakers and cruised to a 8-2 victory. Sam Sheats and Tyler Vanvalkenburg represented the Seahawks in the No. 2 spot and earned a hard fought win 8-6 over the Lakers.Â

Keawe Shepherd Johnson and Liam Pratt finished the doubles sessions by claiming another victory over Oswego State, 8-3. Shepherd-Johnson and Pratt competed in the No. 3 spot for St. Mary'sÂ
Singles

Stephen Alam took down the Lakers in the No. 1 spot with scores of 6-2 and 6-0. Nacua represented the Seahawks in the No. 2 spot and was able to take both sets 6-2 and 6-4.Vanvalkenburg kept the winning streak going for the Seahawks and took care of business in the No. 3 spot, collecting a win with scores of 6-2 and 6-3. Â

Keawe Shepherd Johnson kept things going in the No. 5 Spot, picking up another Seahawk two set win. Shepherd Johnson took the match 6-1,6-0.

Justin Karolyi finished in the No. 6 spot for the Seahawks and took home a match victory with scores of 6-2 and 6-4.
