Box Score St. Mary's City, MD-- The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's tennis team came up short in an incredibly close match against the York College of Pennsylvania Spartans this afternoon (Mar. 26). The Seahawks fell to the Spartans 5-4, dropping their overall record to 3-6.
Doubles

 Diana Levit and Hannah Gorel competed in the No.1 spot for the Seahawks and fell in a back and forth match by a score of 8-6. Sydney Anderson and Hallie Hershey were able to respond in the No. 2 spot for St. Mary's, winning by a score of 8-6.

 Giselle Harris and Amber Manspeaker were able to conclude doubles by giving the Seahawks a 2-1 advantage. Harris and Manspeaker came out on 8-4 in the No. 3 spot.
Singles

Levit came up short in the No. 1 spot for the Seahawks, dropping the match in two in two sets by scores of 6-4 and 6-1. Gorel was able to get the Seahawks on the board in singles competition, winning in two sets by scores of 6-4 and 6-3 in the No. 2 spot. for the Seahawks and met a similar fate, falling in both sets by scores of 6-2 and 6-4. Hallie Hershey came up short in the No. 3 spot with scores of 6-3 and 7-6.

Manspeaker and Anderson both dropped hard fought matches in the No.4 and No. 5 spots. Manspeaker fell in a tie break, while Anderson lost by scores of 6-2 and 6-4.

Finishing things off for the Seahawks in the No. 6 spot, Harris was able to get the Seahawks another tally, winning her match in two sets by scores of 6-3 and 6-2.Â
