St. Mary's City, MD. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Men's Tennis team traveled to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for their first United East Conference matchup of the season. The Seahawks swept the Chargers of Lancaster Bible 9-0. 

How It Happened:

Doubles

• The Seahawks won all three of their doubles matches.

• The pair of Boris Palmade and Stephen Alam took the number one doubles spot with a score of 8-3.

• Nick Rohr and Daoud Alkhalidi won the number two doubles spot 8-2. 

• Keawe Johnson and Liam Pratt won the third and final doubles spot 8-1.

Singles

• Boris Palmade won the number one singles spot in two sets, winning the first 6-1 and the second 6-2. 

• Stephen Alam took the number two singles spot in stride winning in two sets. Alam won both sets 6-1. 

• Nick Rohr fought hard in the number three singles spot winning in two sets. The first Rohr won 6-4 and the second 6-2.

• Keawe Johnson conquered the number four singles spot in two sets: 6-3, 6-2.

• Daoud Alkhalidi defeated his opponent in the number five singles spot in two sets: 6-1, 6-0.

• Liam Pratt finished up the Seahawk's sweep in the number six singles spot in two sets winning 6-1 and 6-4.

Up Next for the Seahawks

The Seahawks will be back in action on Saturday, April 8th for another United East Conference match-up against Penn State Berks. The Seahawks will host the Nittany Lions at the Somerset Tennis Complex at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
