Box Score St. Mary's City, MD. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Tennis team traveled to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for their first United East Conference matchup of the season. The Seahawks took down the Chargers of Lancaster Bible 8-1.

The Seahawks won five out of six singles matches in today's competition against the Chargers.

Diana Levit fought hard in the number one singles spot, taking her opponent to a tiebreaker in the first set (6-6). Levit won the tiebreaker 7-1 and proceeded to win the second set 6-2, clenching another point for the Seahawks.

Amber Manspeaker took the number three singles spot in stride, winning both sets 6-2.

Sydney Anderson won the number four singles spot in two sets, winning the first 6-1, and the second 6-2.

Giselle Harris took the number five singles spot after a hard-fought battle. Harrison won the first set 7-5 but was taken into a tiebreaker by her opponent in the second. Giselle won the tiebreaker 7-3, earning the seventh point for the Seahawks.

The number six singles spot was won by Ellie Walter 6-3, and 6-1 which clinched the eighth and final point for the Seahawks.
Up Next for the Seahawks
The Seahawks will be back in action on Saturday, April 8th for another United East Conference match-up against Penn State Berks. The Seahawks will host the Nittany Lions at the Somerset Tennis Complex at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
