Box Score Abington, PA. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Men's Tennis team traveled to Abington, Pennsylvania to take on Penn State Abington in the final regular season United East Conference match-up. The Seahawks defeated the Nittany Lions on the road 7 - 0 and became the United East Regular Season Champions. The Seahawks have secured the number one seed in next weekend's United East Conference tournament.

The Seahawks won the four singles matches that were able to be completely played through before the last two were rained out.

Boris Palmade won the number one singles spot in two sets: 6-0, 6-3.

Stephen Alam defeated his opponent the number two singles spot: 6-4 and 7-5.

Nick Rohr claimed the number three singles win in two sets: 6-2, and 6-4.

Keawe Johnson started the number four singles spot a little short, losing the first set 6-4. However, Johnson came back strong and won the second set 6-2 and the tiebreaking set 10-3.

Daoud Alkhalidi began competing in the number five singles spot, winning his first set 6-1. However, during a 4-1 lead the set was called off due to rain.

Liam Pratt was competing in the number six singles spot but after a 5-2 lead it was stopped due to weather conditions.
Up Next for the Seahawks
The Seahawks will be back in action on Saturday, April 29th for the first round of the United East Conference Tournament. The Semifinals will take place in Hershey, Pennsylvania at the Hershey Racquet Club. The United East Conference Finals will take place the next day, Sunday, April 30th.
