How It Happened:
Doubles
- Cleo Solomon (Waldorf, Md./ North Point) and Sarah Levit competed in the No. 1 spot for the Seahawks. Solomon and Levit fell 6-3.
- Lauren Lovejoy (Newburg, Md./ La Plata) and Zoe Wilson dropped their match in the No. 2 spot 7-5 after a hard fought battle.
- The Seahawks No.3 double tandem featured Stella Manns and Blessing Samuel (Glen Burnie, Md./ Old Mill Senior). Manns and Samuel fell in their match, 6-3.
Singles
- Cleo Solomon (Waldorf, Md./ North Point) fell in two sets at the No. 1 match. After a 7-point tiebreak at 6-6 in the first set, Solomon dropped 7-5 resulting in a 7-6 loss. Solomon fell in the second set 7-5.
- Sarah Levit competed in the No. 2 match, dropping the match, 6-0, 6-2.
- Lauren Lovejoy (Newburg, Md./ La Plata) fell in the No. 3 singles match after a close second set, 6-2, 7-5.
- Zoe Wilson came up short in the No. 4 match, falling 7-5 and 6-0.
- Stella Manns lost both sets in the No. 5 match after a heart breaking 7-point tiebreak in the second set. Manns fell 6-4 in the first set. Manns dropped the tiebreak at 6-6 in the second set 7-3, resulting in a 7-6 loss.
- Blessing Samuel (Glen Burnie, Md./ Old Mill Senior) concluded the singles matches for the Seahawks in the No. 6 spot. Samuel dropped two sets, losing 6-2, 6-4 respectively.
