St. Mary's City, MD – The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Tennis Team (7-4) hosted the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College for a United East Conference Matchup on Senior Day. The Seahawks defeated the Chargers 6-3.

How It Happened:

Doubles

• Amber Manspeaker and Cleopatra Solmon opened things up with an 8-2 win in the number one singles match. 

• Ellie Walter and Giselle Harris competed in the number two doubles match, winning 8-3.

• Lauren Lovejoy and Ayden Daniel picked up a victory in the number three doubles match by default.

Singles 

• Cleopatra Solomon defeated her Charger opponent in the number one singles match, 6-1, 6-2.

• Amber Manspeaker made quick work of the number two singles match, winning 6-0 in both the first and second set.

• Giselle Harris dropped the number three singles contest in two sets, falling in the first 6-1 and the second 6-3.

• Ellie Walter represented the Seahawks in the number four singles match and battled until the end. Walter dropped the first set 6-2, but came back to take the second set 6-2. Walter showed her resilient spirit all match and came up just short in the third set, falling 11-9.

• Ayden Daniel Fell 6-0, 6-1 in the number five singles contest.

• The Seahawks claimed victory in the number six singles contest to take home a 6-3 victory on the day.
