Miller Named Atlantic East Women’s Swimmer of the Week

HADDONFIELD, N.J. – Junior Kelsie Miller (Potomac, Md./Churchill) picked up the Atlantic East Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week honor as announced by the league office Monday afternoon (Oct. 27). This is Miller's seventh career swimmer of the week award.
 
St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swimming started the 2025-26 season with a 2-1 record this past weekend. St. Mary's College fell 193-69 at Randolph-Macon College (Oct. 24) before rebounding with wins over host Randolph College, 136-65, and Virginia Wesleyan University, 123-60, on Oct. 25.
 
Miller posted a 2-0 record in the 200-butterfly as she won the event at Randolph-Macon in 2:17.96 before touching the wall first at Randolph in 2:18.27. She was the lead-off swimmer for the victorious 200 freestyle relay (1:48.56) and the second-place 200 medley relay (1:40.52) at Randolph.
 
She captured the 100-butterfly at Randolph-Macon in 1:00.19 while swimming the third leg of the second-place 200 freestyle relay (1:44.04). Miller was also part of the fourth-place 200 medley relay (2:00.13) as the lead-off swimmer.
 
The Seahawks (2-1) will return to action this Saturday, Nov. 1, when SMCM welcomes Bridgewater (Va.) College, Southern Virginia University, and Stevenson University to the Aquatics Center for a triple dual meet at 1 pm.
