Box Score Hilton Head Island, S.C. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's tennis team travelled down to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina to take part in the PTR Spring Tennis Fest.  The Seahawks competed against Penn State Behrend at the Chaplin Park Tennis Center, falling to the Lions 3-4.
 
How It Happened:
Doubles

• Cleo Solomon (Waldorf, Md./ North Point) and Amber Manspeaker (Finksburg, Md./ Westminster) competed in the No. 1 position for the Seahawks. Solomon and Manspeaker fell to the Lions duo in a close battle 6-4.
• Sarah Levit (Rockville, Md./ Richard Montgomery) and Giselle Harris (Easton, Md./ Easton) dropped their match 6-2 in the No. 2 doubles tandem.
• Lauren Lovejoy (Newburg, Md./ La Plata) and Stella Manns (White Hall, Md./North Harford) decisively won their match 6-0 in the No. 3 spot.

Singles 

• Cleo Solomon (Waldorf, Md./ North Point) comfortably won the match in two sets in the No. 1 singles match, winning 6-1, 6-0.
• Amber Manspeaker (Finksburg, Md./ Westminster) competed in the No. 2 spot, dropping the match in two sets, falling 6-1, 6-4.
• Sarah Levit (Rockville, Md./ Richard Montgomery) fell in two sets in the No. 3 match. Levit had a close first set, falling 7-6 after dropping the tiebreak 8-6. The Lions beat Levit in the second set 6-4.
• Giselle Harris (Easton, Md./ Easton) in the No. 4 matchup was defeated by the Lions in two sets, 6-1, 6-2.
• Lauren Lovejoy (Newburg, Md./ La Plata) decisively won in the No. 5 matchup, winning 7-4 on the Scorecard in the first set, and winning 6-2 in the second set.
• Zoe Wilson (Clarksburg, Md./ Academy of the Holy Cross) earned a win in the No. 6 position in two sets.  Wilson beat the Lions 6-3 in the first set, 7-5 in the second set with a win-by-two.
