Box Score Hilton Head Island, S.C. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's tennis team is down at Hilton Head Island, S. C. to take part in the PTR Spring Tennis Fest at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort.  The Seahawks matched up against Alfred University Saxons, concluding their final day with a convincing 6-1 win.
 
How It Happened:
Doubles

• Nick Rohr (Fairfax County, Va./ James W. Robinson) and Jacob Nelson (Olney, Md./ Sherwood) competed in the No. 1 doubles match for the Seahawks. Rohr and Nelson fell 6-4.
• Andrew Hand (Huntingtown, Md./ Huntingtown) and Alex Lyman (Annapolis, Md./ Annapolis) defeated the Saxons convincingly 6-0.
• The Seahawks No.3 double tandem featured Hudson Christensen (Annapolis, Md./ St. Mary's) and Devon Gorel (Jessup, Md./ Hammond). Christensen and Gorel won 6-2.

Singles 

• Nick Rohr (Fairfax County, Va./ James W. Robinson) came out on top in the No. 1 singles match, winning 6-4 both sets.
• Jacob Nelson (Olney, Md./ Sherwood) competed in the No. 2 match, winning in two sets 6-2, 7-5 win-by-two.
• Andrew Hand (Huntingtown, Md./ Huntingtown) competed in the No. 3 spot, battling through three sets.  Hand took the first set 6-4, then fell in the second 6-4. Hand defeated the Saxons 10-3 in the third set Super Tiebreak.
• Alex Lyman (Annapolis, Md./ Annapolis) fell in two sets in the No. 4 matchup, dropping both sets 6-4.
• Devon Gorel (Jessup, Md./ Hammond) won both sets in action in the No. 5 match. Gorel decisively won 6-0 both sets.
• Joey Carson (Sykesville, Md./ Century) concluded the singles matches for the Seahawks in the No. 6 spot, winning 6-1, 7-5 win-by-two.
