ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Fifth-year Head Coach Reava Potter announced the 2025 ledger for the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's and women's cross country teams. The Seahawk harriers will be making stops in Virginia and Pennsylvania this season with an eye on the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Spartanburg, S.C.
 
The St. Mary's College women come into the 2025 campaign as the four-time defending United East Conference champions while the men claimed United East runner-up honors for the second time in three years.
 
The Seahawks' first meet of the season will be the Spider Alumni Open hosted by the University of Richmond on Aug. 30 at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va. The women will run a 4K course while the men's race will be a 5K.
 
Next, SMCM will travel to Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia for the 46th Annual Philadelphia Cross Classic on Sept. 6. The women will be racing on a 5K course while the men's course will be the NCAA distance of 8K.
 
St. Mary's College will preview the 2025 United East championship course at the Penn State Brandywine Invitational on Sept. 12.
 
The Seahawks' next race takes place Oct. 3 as the team competes in the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course in Bethlehem, Pa.
 
SMCM will use Gettysburg College's Aubrey Shenk Invitational on Oct. 18 as its final tune-up before the United East Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1, which are being hosted by Penn State Brandywine.
 
St. Mary's College competes again two weeks later at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships in Newville, Pa., on Nov. 15. A strong performance at regionals will qualify the Seahawks for the following week's NCAA National Championships in Spartanburg, S.C. (Nov. 22).
