St. Mary’s College Men’s Indoor Track & Field Closes Out Weekend at Ursinus

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's indoor track & field team registered four season-bests and six personal records Saturday (Feb. 7) at the Frank Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus College.
 
How It Happened
  • Senior Nicholas Haylock (Odenton, Md./Meade) gained a 10th-place finish in the 60m hurdles in 9.18 while placing 45th in the 60m dash in 7.55.
  • Junior Bryce Webster (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) went 12th in the 5000m run in 18:43.28 while sophomore Owen Swisdak (Sykesville, Md./Century) took 14th with a season-best 19:07.34.
  • All six Seahawks that ran the mile either clocked a season-best time or a personal record. Sophomore Pierson Hogue (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) led the way with a 14th-place finish with a season-best 4:49.66 while sophomore Blake Carberry (Pylesville, Md./North Harford) came in 17th with a PR of 4:52.69.
  • Junior Jake Robey (Kensington, Md./Georgetown Prep) placed 21st in the mile with a season-best 4:59.77 while sophomore Jack Kuta (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown) finished 25th with a PR of 5:13.36. Swisdak and first-year Jax Hansen (Lothian, Md./Southern) both notched PRs as well with Swisdak clocking a 5:35.51 (35th) and Hansen running a 6:03.43 (39th).
  • Sophomore Moses McRae (Philadelphia, Pa./Kents Hill (Maine)) garnered a 16th-place finish in the 60m dash in 7.32.
  • First-year Jared Mack-Innis went 16th in the long jump with 5.70m while placing 49th in the 200m in 25.32.
  • Carberry led the Seahawks in the 800m with a 17th-place finish in 2:13.87 while sophomore Henry Wilcox (Lexington Park, Md./Great Mills) tallied a season-best 2:13.96 for 18th place.
  • Junior Doel Nkalo (Montgomery Village, Md./Watkins Mill) threw a personal record of 11.11m for 25th in the weight throw while taking 42nd in the shot put with 9.15m.
  • First-year Albert Morris also collected a personal record in the weight throw with 9.56m for 34th while placing 45th in the shot put with 8.58m.
  • First-year Cooper Breakey (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) paced SMCM in the 400m with a 45th-place finish in 1:01.14.
