LATHAM, N.Y. – Max Esztergomi (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) was named the United East Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday morning (Apr. 7). This is Esztergomi's second career league player of the week award.
 
Esztergomi helped the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's tennis team extend their win streak to four with a pair of 7-0 victories over Cairn University (March 31) and Penn State Brandywine (April 4).
 
Esztergomi partnered with Andrew Hand '27 at No. 2 doubles to claim a 6-3 win over Cairn's Evan Ciccone and Joshua Nacy. The duo also collected a 6-2 win over Brandywine's Zarius Silverio and Aaron Wilson.
 
The 6-6 captain notched a 6-0, 6-2 triumph over Cairn's Matheo Baez before taking down Brandywine's Mateo Torres, 6-0, 6-0. Both matches were at No. 1 singles.
 
St. Mary's College (6-5, 3-0 UEC) will return to action Wednesday, April 8, when the Seahawks travel to Lancaster, Pa. to take on Lancaster Bible College (0-6, 0-2 UEC) at 3 pm in conference play.
