Bowie, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's tennis team notched its second consecutive victory Sunday afternoon with a 7-2 triumph over Division II Bowie State University in non-conference action.

In doubles action, the first-year tandem of Shelby Mullennix (California, Md./Leonardtown) and Marie Rau (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) picked up their second straight win with an 8-5 victory over senior Jasmine McNair (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) and first-year Irene-Gail Orozco at No. 3 doubles.

Sophomore Kathleen Ramsey (Dunkirk, Md./Northern) recorded her seventh win in a row with an 8-2 victory over McNair at No. 6 singles while first-years Chelsea Bradcovich (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial), Beth Handy (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) and Marie Rau (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) each stretched their win streak to two.

St. Mary's will be back in action on Tuesday, March 30 as the Seahawks travel to Chestertown, Md. for a non-conference match against Washington (Md.) College at 3:00 pm.
