Salisbury, Md. – The Salisbury University
women's tennis team, ranked eighth in the Atlantic South region,
punched their ticket to the championship match of the 2010 Capital
Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Tournament as the second-seeded
Sea Gulls (13-2) posted a 9-0 shutout of sixth-seeded St. Mary's
College of Maryland Monday afternoon.
Salisbury will face top-seeded University of Mary Washington in
the championship match on Thursday in Fredericksburg, Va.
Mary Washington blanked fourth-seeded Hood College today as well to
advance to Thursday's title match.
St. Mary's (10-10) will close out the 2009-10 campaign on
Thursday with a non-conference at Goucher College in Towson at 3:30
pm.
