Box Score Fredericksburg, Va. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team lost their second game in a row as the Seahawks dropped a 58-40 decision to University of Mary Washington in Capital Athletic Conference action Wednesday night.

Sophomore center Nina Haller (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) continued her streak of double-doubles with her third straight on 11 points and 10 rebounds while adding four blocks. Senior captain Matti Vagnoni (Chevy Chase, Md./Stone Ridge School) contributed a dozen points behind four triples.

St. Mary's faced offensive challenges throughout the contest as the team shot under 20% for the game. The Eagles only held a 30-26 rebounding edge as McClain hauled in a first-half best of 10 boards.
Shooting improved for the Seahawks in the second half, jumping from 8.8% to 30%, and their solid defensive stance against Mary Washington continued but the deficit was too much to overcome.
