Towson, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland field hockey team dropped a 3-2 decision to Susquehanna University Saturday afternoon on neutral ground as the game was played at Notre Dame Preparatory School.

How It Happened
- Susquehanna opened up with a 2-0 lead in the first half as first-year midfielder Hunter Pitman (White Haven, Pa./Crestwood) and junior forward Cayla Spatz (Sinking Spring, Pa./Berks Catholic) found the back of the cage at 11:20 and 21:39, respectively.
- Sophomore midfielder Mollie Belson (Columbia, Md./Atholton) cut the deficit in half at 36:12 with her third goal of the season.
- Pitman struck again at 53:46 to return a two-goal cushion with less than 17 minutes remaining in regulation.
- The Seahawks once again came within one as sophomore Sydney Cline (Frederick, Md./Linganore) tallied her second of the season at 68:26.
For the Seahawks (1-5)
- Scorers: Belson (1 goal); Cline (1 goal); Megan Moore (1 assist).
- Goalkeeper: Kelbey Egerland (season-best 10 saves, 3 goals allowed, 70:00).
- St. Mary's finished the game with 12 shots and seven penalty corners.
For Susquehanna (4-1)
- Scorers: Pitman (2 goals); Spatz (1 goal).
- Goalkeeper: Morgan Ludlam (3 saves, 2 goals allowed, 70:00).
- Defensive Save: Tessa Woodring (1).

- Susquehanna is now 2-0 all-time against the Seahawks.
