• The Short Story: Senior captain Olivia Nowlin (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) tallied a season-best 14 points Saturday afternoon as the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's basketball team dropped their second game in a row. The Seahawks fell 65-45 to No. 23 Marymount (Va.) University in Capital Athletic Conference action.

How It Happened

• Marymount set the tone early, jumping out to an 11-0 lead at 7:13 with seven points from Regan Lohr, before Nowlin's first three-pointer of the day finally put the Seahawks on the board at 4:34.
• Another Nowlin triple tied the game up at 15-15 at 1:20 and capped a 10-0 run for St. Mary's.
• The Saints went on to close out the first quarter on a 7-0 push over the final minute for a 22-15 lead.
• It was all Marymount in the second period as the Saints broke the game open by limiting the Seahawks to three field goals and outscoring them, 20-7.
• Marymount continued to roll in the third and led by 29 at the 3:01-mark following a steal and layup by Gabriella Haddad.
• The Seahawks outscored Marymount, 13-8, in the final stanza as St. Mary's opened the quarter on an 11-4 run to pull within 63-41 at 5:19.

Inside the Box Score

• St. Mary's won the rebounding battle, 41-37, thanks in part to junior forward Kobe Chaney's (Edgewater, Md./South River) game-best 14 boards. Chaney also added seven points.
• Along with her season-best 14 points, Nowlin collected a season-high two steals and contributed seven caroms and three assists.
• First-year Kyaira Priest (Lexington Park, Md./Chopticon) came off the bench to provide season-bests of three rebounds, three field goals made and two assists plus nine points.
• Lohr finished with a career-best 25 points to lead Marymount to its fifth straight win as Lohr dropped 21 points in the first half, including 12 in the first quarter on 5-of-6 shooting.
• The Saints dominated the paint, 40-10, and picked up 21 points and 10 steals off of 18 St. Mary's turnovers.
