Chestertown, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's lacrosse team suffered their third straight loss on Wednesday, falling 20-4 to Washington College in non-conference action despite a career-high 17 saves from junior goalkeeper Ross Snodderly (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin).

How It Happened
- Washington College put up a pair of six-goal periods in defeating the Seahawks, including a 6-0 first quarter. Cody Pascale scored twice in the first 15 minutes.
- Sophomore midfielder Erich Wuesthoff (Newbury Park, Calif./Newbury Park) stopped the bleeding with a man-up goal at 7:22 of the second stanza. The Shoremen would score the next three before junior attackman Max Groen (New Haven, Conn./Choate Rosemary) tacked on another one with 19 second left in the half, sending WC into halftime with a 10-2 advantage.
- The Shoremen continued to pile on the goals in the third, outscoring St. Mary's 6-1 for a 13-goal cushion heading into the final 15 minutes of play.
- Junior attackman Connor Benhoff (Baltimore, Md./Dulaney) tallied the first goal of the fourth before Washington College closed out the game on a 4-0 run.

- Four different Seahawks found the back of the net with first-year attackman Ben Claffee's (Forest Hill, Md./Fallston) goal and assist leading the way.
- Junior midfielder Michael Bucci (Davidsonville, Md./Severn) matched his season-best of seven face-off wins while junior midfielder Ray LaPlaca (Owings, Md./Calverton) scooped up a career-best five ground balls and added an assist.
- Casey Grieves finished the day with five goals and four assists for nine points while Joey Sivo picked up nine face-off wins and four ground balls. Ben Flood collected nine stops in 41:40.
