Salisbury, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's tennis team traveled to regionally-ranked Salisbury University on Friday for a Capital Athletic Conference match. Salisbury (9-3, 2-0 CAC), who ranks 14th in the Atlantic South region, notched an 8-1 win over St. Mary's (6-4, 1-2 CAC).

How It Happened
Doubles:
- Former Smithsburg High School teammates, sophomore Claire Bodine (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) and first-year Alden Grosh (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) reunited Friday but came up just short against Shannon Hickman and Sage Cole, 7-9, at No. 3 doubles.
Singles:
- Senior captain Melissa Barall (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake) fought hard but succumbed to a 6-1, 4-6, 2-6 setback to Annika Kezman at No. 1 singles.
- Bodine pulled in the lone point for the Seahawks as she handed Marina Kaiafas a 6-0, 6-2 defeat at No. 4 singles.
