Seahawks Drop Home opener

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's tennis team (1-3, 0-0 CAC) had its first home match of the Spring season Tuesday afternoon (Mar. 3) as they hosted the Hornets of the University of Lynchburg (2-1, 1-0 ODAC).

St. Mary's College - 0, Lynchburg - 9

Doubles –

  • Celina Kaufman and Sydney Anderson fought hard and took five points from Lynchburg's Alexa Hardesty and Lauren Pascadlo but ultimately fell with a score of 8-5.  

Singles –

  • Hallie Hershey had a close first set with the Hornet's Ellen Druebbisch but lost with a final score of 7-5,6-2. .
