Richmond, VA -- The St. Mary's College of Maryland Women's Cross Country team took part in their first race of the 2024 season, competing in the Spider Alumni Open, which featured teams from both Division I and Division III. The Seahawks completed a 4k race and finished in 15th place as a team.
Top Performers
The top five Seahawk performers today were Brittney Douglas, Elizabeth Robey, Kaylee Holston, Stacie Lally, and Weiya Carter.
Brittany Douglas was the first Seahawk to cross the finish line and did so in 16:19, earning her 93rd place. Elizabeth Robey finished shortly after, taking home 119th place with a time of 16:49. Kaylee Holston, Stacie Lally, and Weiya Carter finished in consecutive order to round out the Seahawks top five. Holston finished the race in 150th place with a time of 18:41. Lally crossed the finish line about nine seconds later to finish in 151st. Carter finished almost simultaneously, completing the race in 18:51, giving her the 152nd best time.

There were 180 runners in the field for the women's race.
