Eight Seahawks Women’s Cross Country Runners Earn All-United East Honors

LATHAM, N.Y. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's cross country team had eight members garner All-United East Conference awards based on their performance at the 2025 United East Conference Women's Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1 at Penn State Brandywine.
 
Sophomore Ella Mitchell (Towson, Md./Bryn Mawr) and senior Kate Wachter (Takoma Park, Md./Montgomery Blair) represented St. Mary's College with First Team All-United East laurels after the twosome finished in the Top 9.
 
Mitchell finished second out of 68 runners, completing the 6K course in 24:25.10. This is Mitchell's second straight First Team award after placing fourth last season. Wachter took seventh in 26:10.30 for her second all-conference accolade in a row after she gained Second Team honors with a 13th-place finish.
 
First-years Elle Wilson (Westminster, Md./Westminster) and Charlotte Crabtree (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) both picked up Second Team All-United East recognition with a pair of Top 18 finishes in their championship debuts. Wilson came in 10th in 26:27.44 while Crabtree placed 18th in 28:03.21.
 
Landing on the Third Team were juniors Avery Arizzi (Arnold, Md./Broadneck), Weiya Carter (Havre de Grace, Md./Towson), Ellie Geiger (California, Md./Leonardtown), and Madison Kingsley (White Hall, Md./North Harford), who all finished between 19th and 27th. This is the third all-conference award for both Carter and Kingsley.
 
Arizzi took 19th in 28:10.82 while Carter notched her second straight Second Team award after placing 20th in 28:14.80. Geiger came in 21st in 28:31.90 while Kingsley tallied her second Second Team award in a row following a 25th-place finish in 29:34.31.
 
St. Mary's College captured its fifth straight United East women's cross country championship title as the Seahawks bested the eight-team field with 53 points.
 
The Seahawks will be back in action this Saturday, Nov. 15 at the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships at the Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa. Racing is scheduled to start at 12 pm.
