LATHAM, N.Y. – Alex Lyman (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) picked up the United East Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week award as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning (Oct. 15). This is Lyman's first player of the week award as a Seahawk.
The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's tennis team notched their first win of the 2024-25 season this past Saturday (Oct. 12), downing Hood College, 7-0.
The 6-6 first year did not drop a single game between his doubles and singles matches in SMCM's win. Lyman partnered with
Andrew Hand '27 at No. 2 doubles for a 6-0 victory. He then notched a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at No. 4 singles.
St. Mary's College (1-2) will wrap up its fall portion of the schedule this weekend with the Seahawk Open on Oct. 19-20.
