Lock Haven, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's cross country team traveled to Lock Haven, Pa. for the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship. The Seahawks placed 17th-the highest finish in school history. They competed in a 6K race.
Top Performers
The top five Seahawk performers today were Ella Mitchell (Baltimore, Md./ The Bryn Mawr School), Betsy Robey (Kensington, Md./ Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart), Mileah Cotton (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna), Macy Woroniecki (Berlin Md./ Stephen Decatur). and Ariana Lecouras (Severna Park, Md./ Severna Park).
Mitchell crossed the line in 69th place overall with a time of 23:27-setting a new personal record. Robey finished behind with a 92nd place finish and a time of 24:06 also finishing as a new personal record time. Cotton followed close, taking 99th in 24:24. Closing in behind was Woroniecki and Lecouras with 118th at 24:58 and 132nd at 25:20 respectively to round out the top five of the Seahawks. Woroniecki and Lecouras both set personal records this race.
There were 217 runners in the field for the women's race.
The Seahawks conclude their 2024 campaign.
