HAMPTON, Va. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's swimming wrapped up competition Sunday (Nov. 24) at the annual Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Randolph-Macon College at the Hampton, Virginia Aquaplex. St. Mary's College placed fifth in the eight-team field with 454 points.
Sophomore
Kelsie Miller (Potomac, Md./Churchill) collected a third-place finish in the 200-butterfly in 2:08.77 while junior captain
Venus Kai Judge (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) placed 17th in 2:19.25.
The next best finish for the Seahawks was sophomore
Emerson Young (Bel Air, Md./Harford Technical) taking fifth in the 100-freestyle in 53.73. First-year
Addison Willey (Lexington Park, Md./Great Mills) scored points as well with her 20th-place finish in 55.41.
The foursome of Willey, Miller, Judge, and Young also notched a fifth-place finish in the 400-freestyle relay in 3:38.15.
First-year
Lauren Goulet (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) earned a 16th-place finish in the 1650-freestyle in 19:25.23.
Sophomore
Kaitlyn Soldon (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) led a quartet of SMCM swimmers in the 200-backstroke as Soldon came in 20th in 2:23.41 followed by senior captain
Emelina Grimm (Rockville, Md./Magruder) in 22nd in 2:31.58. First-year
Elly Bauer (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) went 23rd in 2:34.03 while fellow classmate
Isa Bianco (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) finished 24th in 2:48.65.
Junior
Kate Pass (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) paced the squad in the 200-breaststroke with a 23rd-place finish in 2:55.12.
