Men's Indoor Track & Field Open 2024-2025 Campaign at Bow Tie Invitational

Collegeville, Pa. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's indoor track and field team travelled to Collegeville, Pa. for the Bow Tie Invitational hosted by Ursinus College.  The Seahawks were one of thirteen colleges to compete in their opening campaign, and breaking one school record along the way.
 
How It Happened:
  • Nick Haylock earned 4th in the 60 meter finals with a time of 7.23.
  • Two Seahawks competed in the 60 meter hurdles finals.  Nick Haylock took 4th in a time of 9.18. Aaron Morales earned 8th with 13.59 seconds.
  • The top three Seahawks in the 200m were led by Collin Fitzgerald earning 8th with a time of 23.58.   Mason Layne followed with an 11th place finish at 24.12. Nick Haylock finished right behind in 12th with a time of 24.12.
  • The Seahawks competed in the 400m event, led by Ty Tindal in 51.98.  Tindal broke the St. Mary's school record and set a new personal record. Collin Fitzgerald followed with a 7th place finish in 53.50.  Taking 10th place was Mason Layne closing in at 54.51.
  • The top three performers in the 800m run were led by first-year Moses McRae taking 6th place in a time of 2:12.25. First-year Henry Wilcox followed right behind earning 7th place with a finish of 2:12.48. First-year Jonothan Howell closed in with a time of 2:21.16 to earn 12th.
  • First-year Brenden Lane led the Seahawks in the 1 Mile. Lane finished in 4:48.39 taking 7th place. First-year Pierson Hogue finished just behind with a time of 4:54.29 earning 10th. Nate Norris closed out the Seahawks with a 19th place finish in 5:13.56.
  • The 3000 meter was led by Michael Wade taking 3rd in a time of 9:35.88. Closing behind was Pierson Hogue earning 4th place with 9:40.09. Rounding out the top three was Brenden Lane in 7th place with a time of 10:26.16.
  • The top Seahawk performer Michael Wade took 14th in a strong field for the 5000 meter event in 14:49.51.
  • The top 4x400 meter relay squad of Henry Wilcox, Moses McRae, Mason Layne, and Nick Haylock earned 2nd with a time of 3:36.14.
  • Zachary Kralec earned 1st place in pole vault finishing with a height of 4.10 meters.
  • Doel Nkalo finished 21st in a strong field for shot put, with a throw of 9.30m.
  • Doel Nkalo set a personal record in the weight throw with a throw of 11.01 meters, earning 10th place.
