LATHAM, N.Y. – Senior
Nicholas Haylock (Odenton, Md./Meade) of the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's outdoor track & field team was named the United East Conference Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday morning (Mar. 24).
This is Haylock's first-ever outdoor track athlete of the week award but second overall weekly award as he was tabbed the United East Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Dec. 10, 2024.
The 6-1 sprinter and hurdler ran a 58.88 in the 400m hurdles to finish 12th at the University of Richmond's Fred Hardy Invitational (Mar. 20). Haylock's time ranks third in the Mid-Atlantic region and first in the United East. He also anchored the seventh-place 4x100m relay (43.93).
St. Mary's College will be back in action at home at the Seahawk Invite on Saturday, Mar. 28, at the Jamie L. Roberts Stadium.
