LATHAM, N.Y. – Junior Jake Robey (Kensington, Md./Georgetown Prep) of the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's indoor track & field team was selected as the United East Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday morning (Feb. 10).

This is Robey's first-ever indoor track athlete of the week award. Robey winning the honor also marks the first time this season that Lancaster Bible College's David Helms has not been named the United East Track Athlete of the Week. Helms has picked up the award in each of the previous five weeks.

Robey broke the four-year old 800m run school record, clocking a personal record and conference-best time of 2:01.83 for 20th overall at the Scarlet Knights Open hosted by Rutgers University (Feb. 6). He surpassed the previous mark of 2:02.99 set by Will Christophel '24 on Feb. 5, 2022 at the Frank Colden Invitational.

Robey also placed 21st in the mile with a season-best 4:59.77 at the Frank Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus College (Feb. 7).

St. Mary's College, the defending conference champion, will be back in action at the 2026 United East Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, Feb. 27, at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Md.
