GREENSBORO, N.C. – First-year
Kelsie Miller (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) made her debut at the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships Thursday morning (Mar. 21) with competition in the 100 butterfly.
In the morning preliminaries of the 100 butterfly, Miller finished fourth in her heat with a time of 55.76 and 21st overall in the 51-swimmer field. She missed a top-16 spot in the evening finals by 27-hundredths of a second.
She qualified for the 100-butterfly event with the eighth-fastest time Division III – a B standard of 54.95.
Miller is the ninth St. Mary's College women's swimmer to be an NCAA qualifier and the first since
Kelly Heyde '13 in 2012.
She will be back in the pool on Saturday (Mar. 23), competing in the 100 freestyle.
