Mechanicsville, Va. -- The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's cross country team started off their 2024 campaign, competing in the Spider Alumni Open, which featured teams from both Division I and Division III. The Seahawks ran a 4K race and finished in 12th place as a team.

Mileah Cotton (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna)
, Brittney Douglas (Port Republic, Md./College of Southern Maryland)

Kate Wachter (Takoma Park, Md./Montgomery Blair)

Robey was the first Seahawk to cross the finish line and did so in 16:41, earning her 108th place and setting a new personal best time. Mitchell finished close behind, taking home 111th place with a time of 16:44. Cotton followed after with a time of 16:52 taking 117th finish. Douglas and Wachter rounded out the top five with 132nd place at 17:19 and 139th finish at 17:41 respectively. Mitchell, Cotton, and Wachter made their first Seahawk debut.
There were 175 runners in the field for the women's race.
