Hughesville, Md. -- The St. Mary's College of Maryland women's cross country team hosted the Seahawk Classic at Oak Ridge Park, competing in their second race of the season with teams from the Division III level. The Seahawks ran a 6K race and took home the 1st place finish as a team.

Betsy Robey (Kensington, Md./ Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart)
, Kate Wachter (Takoma Park, Md./ Montgomery Blair)

Weiya Carter (Towson, Md./ Towson)

Mitchell crossed the line in 3
rd place overall with a time of 28:00. Cotton finished close behind with a 4
th place finish and a time of 28:17. Robey followed after, taking 5
th in 28:44. Closing in behind was Wachter and Carter with 7
th at 29:54 and 8
th at 30:01 respectively to round out the top five of the Seahawks.
There were 52 runners in the field for the women's race.
