Men's Records Broken in First Meet of 2025

Sparkill, N.Y. – The St. Mary's College of Maryland men's indoor track and field team competed at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex for the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invitational.  The Seahawks competed against Division I,II,III teams.
 
How It Happened:
  • Three Seahawks finished in the 60m dash.  Mason Layne finished with a time of 7.48 setting a new personal best. Jaedon Aso and Zack Kralec finished in 7.66 and 7.90 respectively. Aso and Kralec also both set new personal records.
  • Two Seahawks competed in the 60 meter hurdles.  Nick Haylock took 19th in a time of 9.13 and finished with a new personal best. Aaron Morales earned a time of 10.17 seconds.
  • The Seahawks were led in the 200m by Moses McRae earning 54th finish with a time of 23.65.
  • The 4x200m relay earned a time of 1:36.21 with a team of Mason Layne, Jaedon Aso, Henry Wilcox, and Nick HaylockThis squad set a new St. Mary's Record.
  • The Seahawks competed in the 400m event, led Moses McRae in 52.39. Henry Wilcox followed with a finish in 53.76.  Nick Haylock closed in at 53.79.
  • The 500m dash had a strong Seahawk field led by Jake Robey taking 18th finish in 1:09.59.  Robey earned a new school record and personal best.
  • Bryce Webster took 2:16.82 in the 800m event.
  • The 3000 meter was led by Pierson Hogue finishing in 9:57.99.
  • The Seahawks competed in the 4000m Distance Medley Relay with a team of Pierson HogueHenry WilcoxRJ Etzler, and Blake Carberry in a time of 11:52.66.
  • Zack Kralec earned 8th place in pole vault finishing with a height of 4.32 meters. Kralec set both a new personal record and a new St. Mary's school record.
  • Doel Nkalo earned a throw of 9.67 meters in the Weight Throw.
