Reading, Pa. – St. Mary's College of Maryland men's indoor track and field team travelled to Reading, Pa. for the Alvernia Winter Invitational hosted by Alvernia University.  The Seahawks competed against Division II and III institutions, setting both personal and St. Mary's records.
 
How It Happened:

• Nick Haylock set a new personal best in the 60m dash, earning a 7.17 in the Prelims. Aaron Morales earned a personal record of 7.74.
• Five Seahawks competed in the 200m; they were led by Mason Layne earning 24^th with a time of 24.16. Aaron Morales set a personal record of 25.06.
• The Seahawks competed in the 400m event, led by Mason Layne in 54.73.  Collin Fitzgerald followed with a 7^th place finish in 53.50.  Taking 10^th place was Mason Layne closing in at 54.51.
• The three performers in the 800m run were led by Jake Robey taking 14^th place in a time of 2:08.39. First-years Tyler Osborne and Owen Swisdak made their debuts earning 2:41.35 and 2:45.54 respectively.
• Michael Wade led the six Seahawks in the 1 Mile. Wade finished in 4:39.85 taking 12^th place. Pierson Hogue finished just behind with a time of 4:51.22 setting a personal record.
• The three 3000 meter runners led by Michael Wade taking 2^nd in a time of 9:26.95. Blake Carberry set a personal best of 10:21.06. Finishing the Seahawks was Patton Harbourt in 11:17.49.
• Kelly Bryne competed in the 5000m event finishing in 14^th place with a time of 18:22.79.
• The top 4x400 meter relay squad of Nick Haylock, Aaron Morales, RJ Etzler, and Jaedon Aso placed 10^th with a time of 3:47.07.
• The Seahawks competed in the 4x800 meter relay with a team of Jake Robey, Michael Wade, Pierson Hogue, and Nate Norris earning 8^th in a time of 8:54.29, setting a St. Mary's school record.
• Zachary Kralec took 2^nd place in pole vault finishing with a height of 4.30 meters.
• The Long Jump was competed by Tyler Osborne earning a length of 4.89 meters in the Prelims.
• Doel Nkalo finished with a personal best of 9.52m in the Shot Put.
• Doel Nkalo threw 7.86 meters in the Men's Weight Throw.
