RALEIGH, N.C. – St. Mary's College of Maryland men's swimming captured nine of 14 events on their way to a non-conference win Saturday afternoon (Jan. 25). St. Mary's College (9-6) posted a 165.50-79.50 road win over William Peace University (2-5).
 
Senior captain Luke Schwenk (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) and sophomore Daniel Madigan (Waldorf, Md./North Point) each claimed three wins to lead the Seahawks.
 
Schwenk notched a first-place finish in the 100-backstroke in 53.82 before taking first in the 50-freestyle in 20.33. He wrapped up the meet with a victory in the 100-freestyle in 45.77.
 
The foursome of junior captain William Kendrick (Laurel, Md./DeMatha Catholic), Madigan, and sophomores Kyle Smith (Crofton, Md./Crofton) and Anthony Davis (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) won the 200-medley relay in 1:38.34.
 
Madigan touched the wall first in the 100-breaststroke in 1:01.14 while coming in first in the 200-breaststroke in 2:15.50. First-year Harrison Greenwald (Reisterstown, Md.) tallied a first-place finish in the 1000-freestyle in 10:11.19 as well as a first-place finish in the 500-freestyle in 4:55.41.
 
Davis tied for first in the 200-freestyle with a lifetime-best of 1:50.29 while tallying a pair of second-place finishes in the 50-freestyle (22.42) and the 100-freestyle (50.19).
 
Smith collected three second-place finishes, leading the Seahawks in the 200-backstroke (2:07.66), the 100-butterfly (54.60), and the 200-individual medley (2:10.63). Kendrick recorded two third-place finishes in the 100-backstroke in 55.74 and the 100-freestyle in 50.57.
 
First-year Stephen Lepine (Rockville, Md.) racked up second-place finishes in the 1000-freestyle (10:29.08), the 200-butterfly (2:14.29), and the 500-freestyle (5:11.77).
