HADDONFIELD, N.J. – Junior
Anthony Davis (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) was named the Atlantic East Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon (Oct. 27). This marks Davis's second career swimmer of the week honor.
St. Mary's College of Maryland men's swimming opened the 2025-26 campaign with a 2-1 record. St. Mary's College dropped a 159.5-102.5 decision at Randolph-Macon College (Oct. 24) before rebounding with victories over host Randolph College, 130-74, and Virginia Wesleyan University, 147-45, on Oct. 25.
Davis went undefeated in the 50-freestyle as he posted a 22.92 at Randolph-Macon to win it and then shaved off 77-hundredths of a second to touch the wall first at Randolph in 22.15. He anchored the winning 200 medley (1:42.47) and 200 freestyle (1:29.98) relays at Randolph as well.
He also swam the third leg on the second-place 200 medley relay (1:40.83) at Randolph-Macon while finishing third in the 100 freestyle (50.37) and 100-butterfly (56.98).
The Seahawks (2-1) will return to action this Saturday, Nov. 1, when SMCM welcomes Bridgewater (Va.) College, Southern Virginia University, and Stevenson University to the Aquatics Center for a non-conference triple dual meet at 1 pm.
