LATHAM, N.Y. – Ella Mitchell (Towson, Md./Bryn Mawr) of the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's cross country team was named the United East Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this season. This is Mitchell's second career conference runner of the week honor.
 
Mitchell was the first St. Mary's College runner to cross the finish line at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University (Oct. 3). She completed the 6K course in 24:05.5, finishing 31st out of 287 runners after moving up two spots over the final 3K.
 
St. Mary's College will be back in action next Saturday, October 18, when they travel to Gettysburg, Pa., for the Aubrey Shenk Invitational hosted by Gettysburg College. The race start time is 10 am.
