ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Senior
Jack Nelson (Ellicott City, Md./River Hill), junior
Tyler Foti (Annandale, Va./Annandale), and sophomore
William Marbray (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) of the St. Mary's College of Maryland men's soccer team were honored by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as members of the CSC Academic All-District® team, the organization announced Nov. 25.
Nelson and Foti are both repeat selections while Marbray is making his first appearance.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District® recognition by communications directors and must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) plus meet high athletic standards.
Nelson is a CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 16.
Nelson, an economics and business administration double major with a 3.71 GPA, earned his second consecutive United East Conference Defensive Player of the Year award while picking up First Team All-United East honors for the second straight season. The 5-9 defender contributed five goals and three assists while helping the Seahawks record seven shutouts this season to pick up United Soccer Coaches All-Region IV First Team honors.
A business administration major, Foti owns a 3.64 GPA. The 6-2 midfielder picked up his second career all-conference honor with a spot on Third Team All-United East. He was part of seven shutout victories while adding two goals and two assists.
Marbray posted a 3.93 GPA as a business administration major and economics minor. This season, the 5-10 forward contributed four goals and two assists in 19 games played.
St. Mary's College (13-6-1, 8-0-0 UEC) closed out the 2025 campaign by claiming the United East regular-season championship title for the second straight season.
