Six Seahawks Women’s Soccer Players Earn Academic All-District Honors

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Six members of the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team were honored by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as members of the CSC Division III Women's Soccer Academic All-District® Team. It was announced by the organization Nov. 25.
 
Senior Ashlyn Bonner (Ellicott City, Md./Wilde Lake), juniors Erin Clark (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial), Felicia Fishburne (Millersville, Md./Severna Park), Keira O'Neail (Vienna, Va./James Madison), and Allie Petryszak (Baltimore, Md./Mercy) and sophomore Megan Rusk (Eldersburg, Md./Century) all garnered the honor for the 2025 season.
 
Petryszak is the lone repeat selection.
 
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District® recognition by communications directors and must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average plus meet high athletic standards.
 
Bonner and Petryszak are both CSC Academic All-America® finalists and advanced to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 17.
 
A three-year team captain, Bonner is an English and psychology double major with a 3.95 GPA. The 5-9 defender was just named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region IV Third Team after helping SMCM to 10 shutouts this season. Picking up First Team All-United East Conference honors, she added one goal and a team-best 10 assists.
 
Clark earned a 3.96 GPA as a physics major and mathematics minor. The 5-8 defender was part of a defensive unit that recorded 10 shutouts. She garnered a spot on Second Team All-United East after notching two goals this season. Clark also collected the United East Elite 21 Award, which is given to the student-athlete who holds the highest GPA amongst the final four teams advancing to the conference tournament.
 
Fishburne, a psychology major and neuroscience minor with a 3.93 GPA, landed on Second Team All-United East after contributing to 10 shutout wins this season. The 5-2 two-way player also collected two goals and three assists.
 
O'Neail holds a 3.96 GPA as a political science and sociology double major. A team captain, the 5-4 junior midfielder picked up First Team All-United East honors after putting up six goals, including two game-winners, and three assists.
 
Petryszak is a business major and sociology minor with a 3.66 GPA. The 5-3 defender was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region IV Second Team after registering five goals and an assist. Helping the team record 10 shutouts, she was named the United East Defensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on First Team All-United East.
 
Rusk, a history major and educational studies minor with a 3.76 GPA, landed on First Team All-United East for the second straight season. The 5-1 midfielder scored a team-best seven goals and added an assist for 15 points.
 
St. Mary's College (13-6-3, 8-0-0 UEC) captured the United East regular-season championship title with the program's first-ever undefeated conference record. The Seahawks ended the 2025 campaign on a three-game unbeaten streak after falling 2-0 in penalty kicks at Penn State Harrisburg in the United East tournament championship game.
