KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Team captains
Ashlyn Bonner (Ellicott City, Md./Wilde Lake) and
Allie Petryszak (Baltimore, Md./Mercy), and sophomore
Kyleigh Bland (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) of the St. Mary's College of Maryland women's soccer team received 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Region IV honors Tuesday (Dec. 2).
Petryszak and Bland both landed on the Second Team while Bonner earned a spot on the Third Team. All three were First Team All-United East selections (Nov. 13) while Petryszak was voted the 2025 United East Defensive Player of the Year. The St. Mary's College women's soccer program has collected 17 all-region awards by 12 different players.
Petryszak is collecting her second all-region award after earning a spot on the Third Team last season. The 5-3 junior defender helped the team post a conference third-best 10 shutouts. She also provided team fourth-bests of five goals and 11 points. Petryszak scored the game-winner in a 3-1 win over Neumann University (Aug. 29). Though a defender, she was named the United East Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 1.
Bland is repeating as a Second Team All-Region IV pick after notching the same honor last season. The 5-9 goalkeeper was the conference leader in save percentage for the second straight season, posting an .857. She also led the league with eight solo shutouts, which puts her 38th in Division III, while ranking second with an .92 goals against average. Additionally, Bland sat eighth with 96 saves and ninth with 5.05 saves per game.
Bland was selected as the United East Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 8.
Bonner concludes her Seahawk career with her first-ever all-region honor after picking up her third career All-United East honor (Nov. 13). The 5-9 senior defender finished second in the United East with 10 assists, which is good for 23rd in Division III. She helped to anchor a defensive unit that registered a conference third-best 10 shutouts.
Bonner's only goal of the season was the game-winner in a 2-1 triumph at Penn State Berks (Oct. 15). She was picked as the United East Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 1.
St. Mary's College (13-6-3, 8-0-0 UEC) captured the United East regular-season championship title with the program's first-ever undefeated conference record. The Seahawks ended the 2025 campaign on a three-game unbeaten streak after falling 2-0 in penalty kicks at Penn State Harrisburg in the United East tournament championship game.
